Normally when someone says estate you think a super big house on some acreage. However, in Johnny Depp’s French estate is on an impressive 37 acres and includes a village of over a dozen buildings. It includes a main house (with 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms), several guest cottages, a café, a workshop, a chapel, a skateboard park, fountains, and 2 swimming pools (with one surrounded by its own beach bar), to name just a few of its cool features!
Depp’s estate is a short walk from the village of Plan de la Tour in southern France, 10 miles northwest of Saint-Tropez, and only 25 miles away from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt’s estate! Its surrounded by acres of olive trees and the buildings are over 200 years old made of natural stone, wooden beams, with terra-cotta roofs.
Depp bought the home in 2001 when he was still with his ex-girlfriend French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis. He bypassed hiring an interior decorator and spent a lot of time decorating his family’s estate himself, which gives it a unique and charming bohemian feel with a lot of character. According to People, the estate, including all of its contents, is now on sale for $27 million because Depp wants to “close this chapter of his life and move on.”
